We used Chisholm Design for our new kitchen, part of our house renovation project. We had heard so much great feedback from friends who had used them for their projects. We wanted to use a local independent company and it made sense to talk to them about our project, initially getting an understanding of what they offered and idea of costs, etc. Having previously completed a kitchen project we had an idea of what we wanted but were also keen to see what design ideas the team had. We started talking to Jo, Rob and the team at Chisholm Design when we were drawing up plans for the wider house renovation. The team were fantastic from start to finish, ensuring that every step of the way we were making the right decisions, whether from design, type of unit through to appliances, taps, handles, colours and even suggesting the lighting plan! Jo and Rob were always there for you should you have a question and being local meant they could pop round if required. Basically, they designed and fitted us the perfect family kitchen and utility. The quality of the units are great and they came already painted which made life even easier. I have been recommending Chisholm Design to friends and would have no hesitation using them again.

We comprehensively renovated our entire period home from October 2020 to May 2021, so our kitchen was one decision out of many decisions we were making in a seven-to-eight-month timeframe. As part of the renovation process, we created space for a family kitchen, pantry, utility, and laundry. It was a significant purchase to consider and daunting because budgets can so easily spiral when faced with endless choices.

We sought products and prices from a few kitchen suppliers but there was something different about the local independent business, Chisholm Design, and well, the rest is history. From start to finish, working with Jo, Rob, Katie, Lorry (the lovely and thorough installer) and Paul (painter of perfection) has been an extremely positive, enjoyable, and communicative experience.

Both Jo and Rob have a quiet, calm demeanour and at no point did we feel sold to, pressured etc. Jo, where possible, presented options and ideas that didn't always benefit their invoice (if you know, you know) and if anything, Jo was pragmatic, realistic and really understood what we needed and that is quite refreshing and welcomed.

The process from start to finish was so smooth, even in the uncertainty of Brexit and Covid-19, and that is a credit to Jo, Rob, and their team. They worked so incredibly well with our main contractor. The feeling onsite was remarkably harmonious considering the number of trades that were present most days.

Even though some elements of our wishes/design were tricky, we never felt the pressure of that. Jo and Rob presented the solutions and not the problems. That truly is a skill to be thankful for. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Jo and Rob to bring to life our ideas and dreams for the space we had. Even now, we still can't believe that the beautiful, timeless and classic kitchen we created with Jo and Rob, is the kitchen we now enjoy and LOVE every single day.

Without a doubt, if we ever need to or want to create a kitchen etc., we will work with Jo and Rob...because they really do listen, create and manage, to the end, a beautiful, functional space to live in.

"We are absolutely thrilled with our kitchen and this is down to the meticulous planning and design from Jo. Although we have already lived here for 5 years - Jo's advice and insight really helped in understanding what we needed from a new kitchen. We needed a practical and enjoyable family kitchen - one that works for children and adults alike, we wanted a sociable hub and one that would work for many years to come. Jo offered 4 different solutions - with different structural changes (doors / walls etc) and also with a peninsula versus island design. She also offered advice on what may work for us and the pros and cons of each design. I can't recommend Chisholm Design highly enough - we approached Jo in the very initial stages of our build project when we were in the design phase of our new kitchen extension. She came up with some options for different layouts which helped us decide structurally what we were going to do with the space. Jo put up with us changing our mind many times, building delays, and indecision, but was always patient and helpful along the way.

She came up with lots of options for worktops and handles and we felt that we could tailor things to be exactly how we wanted. We also sourced all of our appliances through Chisholm Design and are delighted with them. Rob gave us various options at different price levels and advantages / disadvantages of each - we searched high and low to get them cheaper but couldn't find them at a better price and we're delighted with all of our choices. Rob sorted the ordering process and responded very quickly when we needed to change our extractor fan due to builder error! He saved us loads of time and we have great products!

Thank you so much to Chisholm Design for helping us create our dream kitchen. We started with a broad idea of what we wanted but Jo and Rob were able to gently steer us away from any problematic design ideas and introduce some clever new solutions into our new kitchen space.
