Exceptional, personal service
We're a family-run, bespoke kitchen and cabinetry design company based in Farnham, Surrey. Since 2012, we've delighted hundreds of clients across Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, SW London and beyond.
Thoughtful designs
Every client comes to us with a vision — imagining their child's next birthday party, hosting a family Christmas, or informal dinners with friends. We exist for one purpose: to turn that vision into reality through thoughtful design that really meets your needs.
Quality, bespoke, solid wood cabinetry
We specialise in supplying luxury, bespoke, solid wood cabinetry, appliances, worktops and accessories, all designed and specified to meet your needs, suit your taste and style, and fit within your budget. For those with more limited budgets, our Hampton range offers great value for money.
Personal service
From our first conversation to the final fitting, we handle everything: design, cabinetry, appliances, worktops, lighting, and every detail in between. Whether you're replacing an existing kitchen, extending or remodelling your home, or planning a new-build, we bring the same dedication and attention to detail to every project. It’s all part of the Chisholm Design Promise (you can find out more below).
Cabinetry for every room
As well as kitchens, we design and fit utility rooms, boot rooms, pantries, dressing rooms and more. Whatever the space, we bring the same care and experience to every room in your home.

The Chisholm Design Promise
Undertaking a kitchen project is one of the biggest and most personal investments you'll make in your home. We understand that and therefore our Promise sets out what you can expect from us throughout your project.
1. We'll really listen to you.
Great design starts with truly understanding the people it's for. We'll strive to make sure that we've genuinely heard and understood your wishes, and that everything we design reflects them.
2. We'll be honest with you.
If something won't work, whether that’s technically, aesthetically, or within your budget, we'll tell you. We'd rather have a straightforward conversation early on than disappoint you later.
3. We'll keep you informed and tell you straight away if something goes wrong.
You'll always know where your project stands. We'll communicate proactively, flag decisions before they become urgent, and respond to your questions promptly. And if we discover an issue, make an error, or anticipate a delay, we will contact you immediately. We will always be upfront about what has happened, what we're doing to resolve it, and what it means for your project.
4. We'll pay close attention to detail at every stage.
From the first design conversation through to the final fitting, we will review and check every element of your project carefully and consistently, striving to ensure we have got every detail right.
5. We'll work closely with you, your project team, and our suppliers.
A kitchen project involves many moving parts. We'll collaborate closely with you, your builder, our suppliers, and any other trades to keep things as smooth and straightforward as possible, coordinating where we can and communicating clearly when things need to be aligned. When challenges arise, as they often do during construction projects, we will always be helpful and look for solutions.
6. We'll treat your home with respect.
Our team and fitters will always be courteous, tidy, and considerate on site.
7. We won't close your project until it's finished.
We see every project through to completion. We won't close your project until you're satisfied that everything has been delivered to the standard you were promised.
FAQs At A Glance
Where is your showroom?
We have a beautiful showroom on the Greenhills Estate, just outside Tilford, Surrey. You can find out more about it here. If you’d like to arrange to visit, please get in touch.
Where do you cover?
We’ve designed and delivered projects across Surrey, Hampshire, East and West Sussex, Kent, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and London, as well as further afield as far as Norfolk, Newcastle and even at Dunnet Head, the northernmost tip of Scotland!
How much does a typical kitchen cost?
Whilst every project is unique, a medium-sized kitchen in our solid wood cabinetry will cost around £45-55k (including worktops, appliances, handles, cabinet lighting, fitting, our services and VAT). Many of our projects involve a second or third room (typically a utility room, pantry or boot room) and cost in the region of £55k-£80k. You can find some example prices here.
What do you charge for design?
We charge a design fee for our initial designs (£1150 for the first room and £450 for each subsequent room). This includes an initial design and a second version with your revisions. Please see our Guide to Our Services for full details. You can also read our blog here about why we charge a design fee and the value it offers.
What’s your lead time?
It typically takes 6-8 weeks to get from a discovery call to Version 2 of the design proposal. We then need minimum of 12 weeks from the point at which we can undertake a “clean" survey” i.e. all walls are up to the delivery date. It then typically takes another 2-3 weeks to fit the kitchen. So we’d allow 4-5 months from your initial enquiry to delivery, which allows plenty of time for decision-making without undue time pressure.
What brands do you display and can you supply?
We have a wide range of premium brands on display and which we can source - here’s just a selection:

The team at Chisholm Design
What makes us different?
Thoughtful Design
Headed up by our founder, Jo, our design team brings the experience of hundreds of projects and bags of creativity to every design that they work on. They will work with you to get every single detail right and ensure that the final design and specification is exactly what you're looking for.
“Our new kitchen not only looks amazing but is super functional and is so well laid out. There are so many lovely small design touches that make the kitchen feel extra special and the whole team are very helpful and friendly - a delight to work with!”
Sarah D, client.
Quality Cabinetry
Our bespoke cabinetry is of outstanding quality, whether it's one of our three Shaker-style options, or our contemporary Nordic, handless range. They are a world away from typical high street offerings, featuring solid wood carcasses and beautiful oak internals, which can be designed and configured to meet your exact needs and factory-painted in any Farrow & Ball or Little Greene colour. For those with a more limited budget, our Hampton range, made with veneered chipboard, may be an appealing option.
The kitchen punches well above its price point, solid wood and thick dove-tailed insides/carcass give it the professional, long lasting 'solid' feel; far far better than the 'best high street' MDF alternative. You cannot go wrong with this team, we were very fortunate to find them.
James N, client.
Personal Service
Everything that we do aims to provide the very best service that we can - we pride ourselves on offering really personal, attentive service to each and every client from creating the initial designs to working alongside your build team on site. We know that relationships are really important and our design and operations teams work closely with our clients, their wider project team and our fitters to bring your dream to life.
The entire team at Chisholm Design has been a joy to work with. We highly recommend them for their creativity, craftsmanship, and genuine customer care.
Graham and Deirdre, client.
