Kitchen trends we're seeing in 2025 (so far)

It’s already mid-April (can you believe it?) and one thing’s clear: more and more of our clients are after truly bespoke kitchens - and the experience to match. There’s a growing focus on individuality, not just in colour choices, but in everything from tailored storage and bespoke seating to customised lighting that fits the way they live.

So far 2025 is the year of earthy, smudgy tones and texture with more clients choosing bolder quartz or heavily veined marble worktops to capture that real wow factor when entering their kitchen. Warm terracotta flooring and burnt orange shades are breaking through to inject warmth into the heart of the home. Green is still a firm favourite - from Mediterranean olive, calming sage and deep forest greens - all of these shades pair perfectly with sophisticated brushed antique brass hardware that continues to be in popular demand.

Fluted glass lighting and glass cabinets add a vintage, soft charm to kitchens as well as some texture. It’s also a great option when you want to conceal and screen the contents of a cupboard, and it breaks up solid wood cabinetry too. Open shelving remains a popular choice for our clients – offering the chance to showcase curated styling and add personality too.

Kitchen islands are still highly desirable, but we’re noticing a subtle shift away from the fully fitted look towards more statement, free-standing designs. We’ve also seen a rise in clients favouring a pared-back look, with natural materials like oak and walnut taking centre stage. The island is a great spot to get a little more playful with design, whilst still keeping things functional and purposeful. Not every kitchen needs an island though. We recently stayed in a wonderful holiday home with a huge kitchen table in the centre of the room instead of an island. This functioned really well as a place to sit and eat and work, that wasn’t as formal as their dining room. The kitchen was big enough and had enough storage not to require any more and would have felt over-powered by an island.

Finally, as we’ve seen before, organisation is still a top priority, and pantries are still very much in demand. Whether built into the kitchen or designed as a walk-in, these beautiful yet functional spaces are still very much number one on the wish list for a family kitchen. Additionally, our breakfast pantries are also growing in popularity, with bi-fold doors offering clients a clever hideaway for toasters, coffee machines and more - keeping those worktops clutter free.

We’re excited to see what the rest of 2025 has in store for us trend wise. If you’d like to discuss any upcoming kitchen or bathroom projects you have then please get in touch - we’d love a chat!
