PROJECT: Frensham Cottage Kitchen | LOCATION: Frensham, Surrey | YEAR: 2025
This beautiful period cottage in Frensham was jam packed with original details and so much character, exposed wooden beams and low ceilings but with that came some challenges. Our designer Jessica commented: “This house is an old period cottage with a lot of wonky and quirky features which we tried to retain as much as we could. We worked alongside Chris Boyda, who was the builder and did an amazing job at refurbishing the kitchen space. The original kitchen had a U-shaped layout and an existing AGA which we worked with. The challenging part was how we finished the kitchen to the edge of the wonky walls, and we decided in the end to do a shadow gap which we felt embraced the original details whilst not losing the character of the house”.
The kitchen cabinetry was painted in Farrow and Ball, Stirabout and the handles are the Greenwich range by Hendle and Handle in brushed brass.
